Death by Indifference – 74 deaths and counting

Hi all
Why is that people with a learning disability are not getting the right health care and basic support especially when Mencap published shocking findings like this?

It is only fair to say that there are good health trusts and hospitals I can think of, like the Chesterfield Royal Hospital in Calow in Derbyshire. Where my brother who has a learning disability himself and had a heart attack 7 years ago gets really good care most of the time from his consultant and others at the hospital to help him stop worrying about some chest pain he has or other problems.

But as Mr J Blair says in his article in the Guardian this is a basic human right and really the government need to do more. Instead of spending money on gimmicks, like giving drunk people somewhere to sober up after bingeing on a night out, the Government should stop cutting welfare benefits for the vulnerable and disabled. We need you Prime Minister to uphold the morale fabric of this country and give everyone a decent health care where everyone is treated the same; as equal.
